Admist Huge Expectations and heavy pre-release buzz, 1-Nenokkadine struck Silver screen this morning. Filmytime gets our viewers an exclusive review of Mahesh babu’s Nenokkadine. The film is directed by Sukumar and Devi has composed the music for this action entertainer.
Story: Gautam (Mahesh) plays the role of a rockstar, who witnessess the murder of his parents in his early childhood. He is made to believe that he suffers with a medical syndrome. Sameera (Kriti Sanon) plays the role of a TV reporter. She follows him in the part of a journalist but falls for him .Mahesh babu couldn’t recognise his identity but want to kill the persons that are responsible for his parents tragedy. Kriti finds something about Mahesh Babu. How she helps him to recognize himself and get him know about all the acts he did becomes the heart of the story.
Performances: Mahesh toned his body for this film. His physique is simply awesome! But he lost the charm in his face. And coming to his acting part, as usual, there is nothing to point at. Kriti was mesmerizing all along the film. She looks ravishing all the way in the first half where she has some role to play unlike the second half..!! Nobody could ever get a doubt that she is a debuatant.Superstar’s son Gautham has a few scenes to come up with for which he is perfect. All other artists were also okay but not good. It is purely a one man show of Mahesh babu. Sukumar shouldn’t have dragged the film such long to say a very small thing.
Technical Department: The film stands on par with Hollywood movies in terms of its visuals. Ratnavelu sir cinematography rocked all th way. Sukumar tried his best to convince the audience but 2:45+ movie with no entertainment is always a risky subject. Sukumar failed in getting audience glued to the seats all along the film. Devi’s BGM should be a word of mention. The only saving grace at times when people were getting restless was his RR. Songs were really awesome on the screen! Devi and Sukumar deserve sharing the credit.
Positives:
Mahesh Babu,Kriti Sanon
Cinematography
Devi’s BGM & Songs undoubtedly
Action Sequences (A Few),Interval Episode.
Negatives:
Screenplay
Zero Entertainment Quotient
Dragging 2nd half.
Analysis: We are already out with the analysis long back. The film already failed to record respectable figures in overseas due to bad climatic conditions. The high price of tickets also prevented common audience from coming. However the prices have been slashed by 5$ but the damage is already done with negative talk percolating all around. The film performed no better in Ceeded with very weak numbers. Nizam and Andhra remain the saving grace. Hope they contribute to day1 numbers. Publicity of 14 Reels is always the best in TFI. And for Mahesh Babu’s film, it would be beyond our reach. The movie might close at a maximum of 60C only breaking even if 14 Reels give their best.
Verdict : 1-Nenokkadine has a different kind of subject. But these days a movie won’t be received by a common man in B and C centres without any entertaining scenes or a gripping screenplay.1-Nenokakdine may not do well with the masses.Confusing story, twists and duration of the movie may be termed as the reason for the divide talk the movie is getting..!!But we must appreciate the efforts and the commitment put in by the 14 Reels unit.If you are regular commercial movie love, then 1-Nenokakdine isn’t your choice..!!With a good First Half (A Centres) ,Confusing first half (B,C Centres) and a dragging second half 1-Nenokkadine falls on the shorter Side of Success.
Finally, ‘1-Nenokkadine’ isn’t what one expected, given all the hype..!!
