Brahmanandam, Tollywood's star comedian, along with a couple of popular TV stars, had been subjected to Income Tax raids on Thursday evening. Around 40 IT sleuths, split into seven teams, raided the houses of Brahmanandam, TV anchors Uday Bhanu, Suma, Jhansi, Omkar, singers Geetha Madhuri, Sunitha and others.
This is for the first time in AP that TV celebrities have come under the IT scanner and sources say that it was just a routine check by IT officials.
